Elaine and her story are a gift I highly recommend for women who are in all stages of their careers regardless of industry I had so many emotions while reading this book It s written like a big sister sharing her story and life lessons I appreciated that Elaine wrote her memoir at 33 years old because all of the culture and current event references I ve lived to experience as well It was cool to parallel her life experiences with mine.

I had not read a book cover to cover in years I am so glad that More Than Enough was that book I read it at a time when I was in transition in my career, thinking about the next step, and a little scared for the opportunity before me Elaine s story was filled with so many reminders that we are all ready for that new beginning That a dream realized doesn t mean an end And I am so grateful that she shared these nuggets of wisdom with the world. As someone who once dreamed of going into the magazine industry, this book was an amazing insider look into that world as a woman of color It was fascinating to read Elaine s journey, starting from the Bay, to Sac State, to LA, NYC, and beyond I had read much about Elaine s ascent to editor in chief at Teen Vogue, but hearing the backstory and the duality of that public success was fascinating and told in such an honest, vulnerable manner The arc of the biography was well paced, though reading about her tenure at Teen Vogue certainly felt like a whirlwind at times.I really wish I caught Elaine in San Francisco while she was touring But, I hope to catch her at another event, conference, or talk in the future, wherever her career takes her For any woman, and especially woman of color, navigating relationships, career, life crossroads, or even dreams realized, pick up More Than Enough It s a fantastic read
