I m halfway through this novel and thoroughly enjoying it It was a bit slow to start probably because the author wanted to tie in the first two books in the series, which was not entirely necessary to such extent in my opinion, but forgivable Once it picked up momentum, I got miraculously transported into a different dimension, which usually happens with every single Lucinda Riley book I read It s not something I can explain, but it happens every time Perhaps it s got to do with the way I identify with the leading characters and literally get swallowed up by their story, as if I was in it I was also happy to discover that some of the characters in this book were historical, i.e Mrs Keppel and her daughters I always enjoy researching stories that have a real historical backdrop I m taking my time reading the second part of this book, making it last longer

I thought this book was absolutely wonderful I had just read The Storm Sister which was also a tremendous read I just cannot stop reading Lucinda Riley s Seven Sisters series, they are just totally amazing. The historical facts included are superb and as I am interested and have been to Troldhaugen in Norway where Grieg s museum is The Storm Sister it even made me play the piano again after many years and I immediately found my copy of Grieg s Peer Gynt I was so wrapped up in the story I even surprised myself that I could actually play Solveig s Song Likewise with The Shadow Sister I found that equally fascinating as I also love the Lake District The fact that Riley adds so much interesting historical information into her writing makes these books a totally engrossing read Wonderful

Wow What an ending The mystery thickens L C you pulled it off again After a long and drawn out book that I was feeling wasn t quite as good as the first two of the series I suddenly was jolted into further intrigue particularly when Star thought she had glimpsed Pa Salt at the theatre in Bergen Star known as Sia by her over protective sister Ce Ce is such a mouse like character in life and tries to break free and find herself She meets Mouse and gradually unfurls and she the mouse joins in solidarity and ultimately love with Mouse the man destined to be her lover as the Seven Sisters constellation reveals Intrigued Well I urge you fellow LC fans to read the book to discover this and the meaning of their full names .The reason I only give this four stars is the complex story of Star s journey to discover her heritage I kept having to re read parts of the chapters around this to try and make sense of it all and I m still not sure that I have There were so many threads woven into her story Very confusing Thankfully Star did discover who her mother was and met her but I would have liked pages about this reunion and impact it would have on Star This sister of The Seven Sisters was so childlike but carried within her a warmth that was endearing but at the same time almost rescue like Maybe this was because she herself needed rescuing from her sister Ce Ce It was good to see her leave her cage and begin to fly.I am so looking forward to reading Ce Ce s story in The Pearl Sister I could write so much about all the characters and connections to Star s story but I won t as it will be important for the reader to discover for themselves This is a brilliant epic series Thank you LC.

The third of the Seven Sisters book s, this one will keep you turning pages well beyond when you have been falling asleep, and may well populate your dreams as you ponder all its twists and turns A consummate story teller, Lucinda RIley skilfully unraveled her plot and within a few paragraphs you are hooked. The only problem is that not all the books are written yet

My husband went out on his bike this morning and I picked up my book well Kindle actually beside my bed and there I remained until I d finished the 60% I had left to read Only getting up 5 hours later to let him back in.I read the first book in the series as part of our book club read 3 weeks ago and have just kept reading.Buying the Shadow Sister I decided it would be kept until my holidays, mid December That hasn t happened so I am not buying The Pearl Sister until the Morning we fly.I loved this book I wanted to know about the characters in the book and found my self Wikipediaing the fictional characters as they were so well written. It was easy to lose myself in the life of Flora and Star and I want to live in High Weald and to wander round the gardensBuy it, read it, love it..
